This project was created for an internal Sky’s the Limit competition at RNL, where cross‑disciplinary teams were challenged to develop full fundraising or enrollment campaigns for real clients without the usual creative limitations. The work was evaluated by company VPs from multiple departments, and my team of five, made up of three writers and two designers, earned first place among the four competing groups.
Our assigned client was the University of Pennsylvania, and the focus was a Calendar Year End appeal. I developed the concept for a seasonal greeting card featuring an illustrated view of the Quadrangle, a location that holds deep nostalgia for Penn alumni and donors. To reinforce the theme of generosity, our team created two coordinating sets of seasonal wrapping paper as donor incentives, tying the act of giving to the spirit of the campaign.
The full package included a custom designed box that held the greeting card, remit slip, envelope, and folded wrapping paper, creating a cohesive and elevated presentation. The campaign also extended into digital channels, with a giving website and email series that visually aligned with the print materials and incorporated elements from the wrapping paper designs. The result was a unified, premium campaign experience that blended storytelling, design craft, and strategic fundraising insight.
