United Nations
Development Programme
As a volunteer designer with the United Nations Development Programme, I created a wide range of static and animated social media assets to support Mission 1.5, a mobile game designed to educate and empower young people around the world to take action on climate change. Working alongside UNDP’s New York and London-based digital communications team, I helped translate complex environmental issues into clear, engaging visuals that resonated with teens in several nations. My work focused on accessibility, cultural relevance, youth audience, and visual clarity, ensuring that the campaign’s message reached audiences with varying levels of digital access and climate literacy.
Mission 1.5 became one of UNDP’s most successful global engagement tools, gathering millions of responses that helped inform climate policy discussions and amplify youth voices in international decision making. The campaign was recognized for its innovation and impact, earning a nomination for a Webby Award and contributing to a broader movement to make climate action more participatory and inclusive. The social media materials I designed supported this momentum by increasing visibility, strengthening message retention, and helping young people feel connected to a global effort to protect their future.
