This project was part of an internal Sky’s the Limit competition at RNL, where teams developed comprehensive fundraising campaigns for real clients with no creative constraints. The projects were judged by company VPs across different departments, and Jolie's team—comprising five individuals (three writers and two designers)—won first place among four competing groups.
For the competition, the assigned client was the University of Pennsylvania, and the project focused on a Calendar Year End appeal. Jolie conceptualized a greeting card featuring an illustrated representation of the Quadrangle, a beloved and nostalgic landmark for Penn alumni and donors, making it an ideal seasonal touchpoint. To reinforce the theme of giving, the team designed two sets of seasonal wrapping paper as donation incentives, linking the idea of generosity with the fundraising request.
The campaign package included a custom-designed box to house the greeting card, remit slip, envelope, and folded wrapping paper, ensuring a cohesive and premium presentation. Additionally, the project extended to a digital component, featuring a giving website and email campaign that visually aligned with the print materials, incorporating elements of the wrapping paper design throughout.
