Beyond her expertise in digital and print design, Jolie Baskett has a diverse range of creative interests and skills that she continues to develop. Her passion for visual storytelling extends into areas such as illustration, motion graphics, branding, and multimedia content creation. She is continually exploring new techniques and technologies to expand her creative repertoire, whether through digital animation, interactive media, or innovative approaches to user experience design. Jolie is always looking for opportunities to apply her artistic and strategic skills in new and impactful ways, bringing fresh perspectives to every project she undertakes.
Multimedia
Jolie continues to explore audio and video editing, animation, and motion graphics, building on the skills she developed during her studies. She is passionate about expanding her expertise in these disciplines and applying them in new and creative ways.
As part of a class assignment, she created an animated logo using After Effects and selected this particular logo because of her work with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy (GGNPC) and her deep appreciation for the organization’s mission and impact.
Photo Editing
Jolie has several years of experience in Photoshop editing and design, bringing a meticulous eye for detail to every project. In her work, she enhances client-provided images for various applications, including athletics design. Known for her precision, she carefully refines selections and adjustments, ensuring seamless and professional results.
She specializes in advanced image manipulation techniques, such as replacing missing elements, removing logos, and altering clothing colors, utilizing Photoshop’s Generative Fill and other AI-powered tools. Constantly staying at the forefront of technological advancements, she actively explores and implements emerging artificial intelligence features as they become available in Beta mode, continuously refining her workflow to achieve even more efficient and innovative results.
Logo, Icon, and Sticker Design
Jolie also has extensive experience creating vector logos and icons from scratch in Adobe Illustrator, ensuring crisp, scalable designs that maintain brand integrity across various applications.
In addition to original design work, she is highly skilled in editing vector graphics and expertly recreating lost or outdated logo files with precision. Her ability to restore and refine vector assets ensures seamless brand consistency for clients.
She has also designed a variety of stickers and car decals in different shapes and sizes, carefully considering adhesive placement—whether front- or back-facing—to optimize visibility and functionality.
Jolie enjoys experimenting with pattern design in Illustrator, continuously exploring new techniques to create dynamic and visually engaging compositions. She is particularly interested in Illustrator’s AI pattern tool and continues to monitor its development as it evolves to meet professional design standards.
Drawing and Illustration
Jolie has dedicated her life to art and design, beginning with a foundation in fine art—including drawing, painting, and sculpture—before transitioning into graphic and multimedia design.
Her passion lies in creating beauty and evoking a sense of wonder through her work. She believes that even the smallest spark of inspiration or magic in a viewer’s experience makes her work meaningful. More than designing for herself, she finds fulfillment in taking a client’s vision and transforming it into something beyond their expectations.
